Step into the emotionally charged scene from Episode 6 of “It’s OK to not be OKAY” titled “Bluebeard's Secret" with my painting "Moon-young & Gang-tae: OK, I Won't Leave." In this raw and tender moment, Moon-young awakens from what seems to be a dream, only to encounter the haunting presence of a floating ghost above her. Panic sets in, leaving her in sleep paralysis and vulnerable to the ghost's threat against her precious prince.

However, as fear grips her, Gang-tae, ever-attentive to Moon-young's emotions, hears her cries and rushes to her side. Without hesitation, he attempts to soothe her distressed state, but her pleas for him to flee are in stark contrast to her firm grasp on his shirt, seeking safety in his presence. In a decisive move, Gang-tae chooses to heed her actions instead of her words, enfolding her in his arms and gently promising, "Okay, I won’t leave."

In my painting, this poignant moment is beautifully captured as Moon-young's initial panic gradually subsides. As Gang-tae tenderly holds her close, she finds solace and comfort, nestling her head against his chest. The turmoil of the moment begins to fade, replaced by a sense of tranquility and trust.
